Let us introduce to you, Augustine – our photographer – and his wife Jamie. These love birds have had gotten their wedding bands customised with us using our bespoke service. We decided to interview them to get a little bit of an insight on how their love blossomed from meeting on set.
1) How did the two of you meet?
It was a modern romance! Aug was first enamoured with my travelling photos on Instagram. He then reached out regarding a shoot opportunity and like they always say, the rest is history.
2) What made you curious when you first met your partner?
Jamie: I felt immediately at ease with him and everything felt natural, like I’ve known this person all my life.
Aug: I loved her curiosity for life! Her passion and determination toward seeking new experiences is admirable to me
3) What inspired your dress?
Both fashion history and film are huge inspirations in my life and after poring over hundreds of photos of old-Hollywood gowns, I fell hard for the straight neckline, empire-waisted pouf silhouette, which can notably be found in dresses by Hubert de Givenchy with Audrey Hepburn and Cristóbal Balenciaga, both great masters of Dress I revere.
4) What was the inspiration behind your bands?
We always knew it wasn’t going to be simple bands. We wanted them to be somewhat unique to us but more importantly cohesive in design because we were each going for a different coloured gold. We concluded on rings with twist and fold design in matte finish.
5) What’s your go to piece from Curious Creatures?
I love pearls and the purity ring set is my favourite by far!
6) What do you have to say to couples who are looking to get engaged?
Do your homework and find out what kind of a bride and groom you want to be. We enjoyed the entire process so much and had great fun figuring out our combined identities without losing our individuality, and they all translated into our invitations, our wedding decor, in every piece of wedding jewellery.
