  • Welcome to the Curious Creatures platform, operated by Curious Creatures Studio Pte. Ltd. and its affiliates (individually and collectively, "Curious Creatures," "we," "us," or "our"). Curious Creatures acknowledges its responsibilities under applicable privacy laws and regulations ("Privacy Laws") and is committed to respecting the privacy rights and concerns of all users of our Curious Creatures website (the "Platform"), which, together with the services provided through it, are collectively referred to as the "Services." Users refer to individuals who register for an account with us for the use of the Services (individually and collectively, "Users," "you," or "your"). We recognize the importance of the personal data you have entrusted to us and believe it is our duty to properly manage, protect, and process your personal data. This Privacy Notice ("Privacy Notice" or "Notice") is designed to assist you in understanding how we collect, use, disclose, and/or process the personal data you have provided to us and/or that we possess about you, whether now or in the future, as well as to assist you in making informed decisions before providing us with any of your personal data. Additionally, we will inform you of any other purposes for processing your data at the time of obtaining your consent, unless permitted by Privacy Laws to do so without consent.

  8. marketing and communications data, such as your preferences in receiving marketing from us and third parties, your communication preferences and history of communications with us, our service providers, and other third parties;
  9. usage and transaction data, including details about your searches, orders, the advertising and content you interact with on the Platform, and other products and services related to you; and
  10. aggregate data on content the User engages with.

 

  • You agree not to submit any inaccurate or misleading information to us and to inform us of any changes. We reserve the right to require further documentation to verify any information you provide. If you do not want us to collect your personal data, you may opt out at any time by notifying our Data Protection Officer in writing, as detailed in Section 8. Please note that opting out or withdrawing your consent may affect your use of the Services and the Platform.

  5. a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution or other sale or transfer of some or all of Curious Creatures’ assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation or similar proceeding, in which personal data held by Curious Creatures about our Service Users is among the assets transferred; or to a counterparty in a business asset transaction that Curious Creatures or any of its affiliates or related corporations is involved in; and
  6. third parties to whom disclosure by us is for one or more of the Purposes and such third parties would in turn be collecting and processing your personal data for one or more of the Purposes.

Our Platform uses analytical cookies (like Google Analytics & Klaviyo), to help us to understand how users navigate and interact with our website. These features help us improve our Platform and the Services we offer, help us offer new services and features, and/or enable us and our advertising partners serve more relevant content to you. “Cookies” are identifiers that are stored on your computer or mobile device that record data about computer or device, how and when the Services or Platform are used or visited, by how many people and other activity within our Platform. We may link cookie information to personal data. Essential cookies also link information regarding what items you have selected for purchase and web pages you have viewed. This information is used to keep track of your shopping cart, to deliver content specific to your interests, to enable our third party advertising partners to serve advertisements on sites across the internet, and to conduct data analysis and to monitor usage of the Services.

  1. PROTECTION AND RETENTION OF CUSTOMER INFORMATION

 

  • To safeguard your personal data from unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks, we have introduced appropriate administrative, physical and technical measures such as minimised collection of personal data, regular patching of operating system and other software, securely erase storage media in devices before disposal, and usage of one time password(otp)/2 factor authentication (2fa)/multi-factor authentication (mfa) to secure access.

 

  • We will retain personal data in accordance with the Privacy Laws and/or other applicable laws. That is, we will destroy or anonymize your personal data when we have reasonably determined that (i) the purpose for which that personal data was collected is no longer being served by the retention of such personal data; (ii) retention is no longer necessary for any legal or business purposes; and (iii) no other legitimate interests warrant further retention of such personal data. If you cease using the Platform, or your permission to use the Platform and/or the Services is terminated or withdrawn, we may continue storing, using and/or disclosing your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Notice and our obligations under the Privacy Laws. Subject to applicable law, we may securely dispose of your personal data without prior notice to you.

 

 

  1. INFORMATION ON CHILDREN

 

  • Our Services are not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, children under the age of 16 or minors (as defined by applicable national laws). If you are a minor, please do not attempt to fill out our forms or send any personal information about yourself to us. If a minor has provided us with personal information without parental or guardian consent, the parent or guardian should contact us (Under Section 8) immediately to remove the relevant personal information and unsubscribe the minor. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to promptly delete such information from our files.

 

 

  1. TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA OVERSEAS

 

  • Your personal data and/or information may be transferred to, stored or processed outside of your country for one or more of the Purposes. Curious Creatures will only transfer your information overseas in accordance with Privacy Laws.

 

 

  1. WITHDRAWING YOUR CONSENT

 

  • You may withdraw your consent for the collection, use, or disclosure of your personal data or request its deletion by emailing our Data Protection Officer at dpo@curiouscreatures.cc. We will process such requests in compliance with this Privacy Notice and applicable Privacy Laws. Upon receipt, we may need reasonable time to process your request, depending on its complexity and impact on our relationship with you, and to inform you of any legal consequences affecting your rights and obligations. Generally, we aim to address requests within five (5) business days. Please be aware that withdrawing consent may affect our ability to provide our services, and we will notify you of any such impact before completing the request.

 

 

  1. ACCESS TO AND CORRECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

 

  • If you have an account with us, you can access and correct your personal data through the Account Settings page on the Platform. If you do not have an account, you may request access or correction of your personal data by emailing our Data Protection Officer at dpo@curiouscreatures.cc, providing sufficient information to verify your identity and the nature of your request. We generally aim to respond within five (5) business days. If we cannot respond within fourteen (14) days, we will inform you within thirty (30) days of when we expect to address your request. Should we be unable to provide or correct the requested data, we will explain the reasons. We may charge a reasonable fee for processing your request, and if applicable, we will provide a written estimate of this fee.
